Rare Earth Property - Quebec

Trijet Mining Corp. is pleased to announce the acquisition of a Rare Earth Element (REE) property located 200 km ENE of the town of Schefferville, Quebec. The property consists of 119 claims covering approximately 5819 hectares and occurs within the Mistastin Batholith, which forms a large Mesoproterozoic intrusive complex emplaced in the Precambrian Rae Province.

The Mistastin Batholith contains several suites of REE-bearing peralkaline granitic and syenitic plutons notably the Quest Rare Minerals Strange Lake and the Misery Lake intrusive complex and the Ytterby 2 and 3 syenitic pluton of Midland Exploration (HREE and Y). The Trijet REE property is contiguous to the northern boundary of Misery lake property. The later is defined by a large concentric magnetic feature associated with a 6-km diameter, compositionally-zoned ultramafic to granitic alkali intrusive complex.

Reconnaissance bedrock sampling yielded results of up to 27% Fe2O3, 1.2% P2O5 and 2.25 wt. % TREO. The Strange Lake deposit is located 33 km northwest of the Trijet claims. The deposit is hosted by and genetically related to a riebeckite-aegirine peralkaline granite. Most of the REE-Zr-Y mineralization occurs in zoned lenses of pegmatite-aplite. Quest Rare Minerals has published an inferred mineral resource of 115 MT @1.0 wt. % REE and 1.97 wt. % ZrO2.

Letourneur Property Summary

Localization and Geology

The Letourneur property is located in the Abitibi region of southwestern Quebec, 41 km north of Rouyn-Noranda, in the regional municipality of Taschereau (NTS map sheet 32D10). The property is underlain by Archean volcanic rocks of the Hunter Mine Group in the Abitibi Greenstone Belt. The stratigraphic column is dominated by massive to pillowed basaltic tholeiitic lavas, mafic tuffs and iron formations overlying a sequence of calco-alcaline andesitic to dacitic lavas and tuffs. A WSW-ENE-oriented fault marks the contact between the mafic tholeiitic and felsic calco-alcaline volcanic assemblages.

The Letourneur showing

The Letourneur showing consists of trenches exposing an anastomosing network of quartz veins intruding basaltic wall rocks. The latter show a strong alteration dominated by pyritization and iron carbonatization that can persist up to a meter from the quartz veins. Visible gold was observed. The entire system of quartz veins and related altered wall rocks define a 250 m-long structure oriented 37°N.

Ivry DesGrosbois Summary

The Ivry titanium and iron Property is located in the Canadian Shield of southern Quebec province, Canada, near the municipality of Sainte-Agathe-des-Monts. The Property consists of 54 mineral claims (2387 hectares) underlain by the Anorthosite Morin Complex, part of the Precambrian Grenville Province. Two past producing Fe-Ti mines; the old Desgrosbois and Ivry deposits, are located within the confines of the Property.
